My résumé takes a little explaining.
I was born and raised in the Midwest, then spent 15 years in Boston and 15 in New York City. I’ve been a landlord, played drums in rock ’n’ roll bands, and traveled the world. I’ve always had something of my own going.
My work has taken me through small businesses, tech startups, big banks and publicly traded companies. I’ve seen what a large organization can do with resources—and what a small business owner has to figure out without them.
That range shapes the questions I ask. How does the work actually get done? What happens when someone is out? Will the person using this understand it? I want the technology to work in the life around it.

I started First-Rate Tech in 2018. Many of my clients have stayed with me for years, and there’s very little churn. That means more to me than a long list of projects.
I care about what happens after the launch. I want people to feel heard, understand what we’re building, and trust that we’ll follow through. I put a lot of myself into the work; that care is part of what clients come back for.
Today, I lead the company’s growth and the design of our solutions. Our team brings the work through implementation, testing and handoff—from automations and field-service software for the trades to websites and Shopify stores. That’s how First-Rate Tech turns my perspective into something a client can rely on.

The most personal thing I’ve built.
Trust Blocks is my app for families managing a digital life together: a shared vault for help today, with a way to pass access and instructions to the person who will need them later.
Like a lot of people approaching 50, I’m tech support for parents in their seventies. I’m also their oldest child and only son, already named to manage their estate.
I kept imagining the first days after they’re gone: grieving, looking at a locked phone, trying to figure out what needs to happen. Their digital life won’t disappear. Someone will have to make sense of it.
I’ve spent six years building Trust Blocks because I wanted a better starting point for my own family—and for other families facing the same thing.
