Privacy Policy

First-Rate Tech Corp. (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates firstratetechcorp.com (the “Site”). This policy describes what the Site actually collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to match how the Site really works rather than to cover every possibility.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form. Your name, email address, an optional phone number, the topic you select, and the message you write. This is emailed to us so we can reply.
  • Newsletter. Your email address and the topic you choose. We use confirmed opt-in: your address is stored as unsubscribed until you click the confirmation link, and nothing is sent to you before that.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics. Pages you view, the site or search that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device and browser information.
  • Server logs. Our host records IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps to deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse.

What we do not collect

  • No payment information. There is no checkout, cart, or payment form on this Site. We never ask for or receive card details here.
  • No account registration, chat, or message boards — the Site has none.
  • We do not ask for your age, gender, or demographic information.

2. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how people find us. It sets cookies in your browser (typically named _ga) and sends usage data to Google. This means some information about your visit is collected through cookies.

We do not use advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run ads on this Site.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and, if it leads somewhere, to carry out the work.
  • To send the newsletter, if and only if you confirmed your subscription.
  • To understand which pages are useful so we can write better ones.
  • To keep the Site available and secure.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

4. Who processes it on our behalf

  • Vercel — hosting and delivery of the Site.
  • Resend — sends our email and stores the newsletter list.
  • Google Analytics — site usage measurement.
  • Google Calendar — if you use a “Book a Free Call” link, booking happens on Google’s scheduling page under Google’s terms.
  • YouTube or Vimeo — if a page embeds a video and you play it, that provider may set its own cookies.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries arrive as email and are kept as ordinary business correspondence. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained under the retention period set in our Google Analytics property. Ask us to delete anything and we will.

6. Your choices

  • Newsletter: every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
  • Analytics: use the opt-out options in section 2.
  • Everything else: email us and ask what we hold, or ask us to delete it.

7. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS only. It is a set of static pages — there is no database of customer records behind it and no login to compromise. Our forms use anti-spam and anti-forgery checks. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Site is aimed at businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Third-party websites

The Site links to other websites, including our clients’ sites. Once you follow a link away from here, this policy no longer applies and we are not responsible for what those sites do.

10. Do Not Track

There is still no agreed standard for Do-Not-Track browser signals, so the Site does not respond to them. The opt-out options in section 2 do work.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
